Consulting and Project Planning

Early consultation is a proven way to save time and money on landscaping projects.  WildLands provides guidance for effective project design, planning, and implementation.  Drawing on our years of experience, a visit to the site, and analysis of project needs, we offer strategies that can minimize maintenance and significantly reduce costs.  A complete consultation package often includes:

  • Development of planting/seeding plans and designs
  • Development of best technical approaches for site preparation, planting and seeding
  • Specifications for seed mixes and selection of materials
  • Guidance for project implementation and problem solving
  • Advice and plans for post-installation care and maintenance (e.g., weeding, watering)
  • Design and guidance for installing and maintaining an irrigation system.

In addition, for landscaping projects on public or commercial sites, we offer support for environmental compliance and permitting.  We are knowledgeable of the regulatory requirements and the region’s ecology and native plants.  Our consultation services can include development of specialized seed mixes with native grass and forb species as well as showy wildflower species.  The seed mix is tailored to the nutrient and moisture content of your soil and your landscaping objectives.
